Crispy Air Fryer Cauliflower

If you need a quick, healthy, and tasty side or snack, air fryer cauliflower is a great choice. It turns perfectly crispy on the outside while staying soft and tender inside. The best part is how easy it is to customize the flavor, whether you like simple garlic seasoning, something spicy, or a cheesy finish.

This recipe is naturally vegan, gluten-free, and made with just a few everyday ingredients. It’s ready in under 20 minutes, making it perfect for busy weeknights or a light low-carb snack.

Ingredients

1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets

1½ tablespoons olive oil (or any neutral oil)

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional toppings: grated Parmesan, hot sauce, lemon juice, or chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cauliflower

Wash and dry the cauliflower well, then cut it into evenly sized florets. Try not to make them too small so they don’t cook too quickly.

  1. Season

Place the florets in a large bowl. Add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the cauliflower is evenly coated.

  1. Air Fry

Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C). Arrange the cauliflower in a single layer in the basket without overcrowding. Cook for 12 to 15 minutes, shaking halfway through so it cooks evenly.

  1. Serve

Once golden and crisp, remove from the air fryer. Add a squeeze of lemon juice or sprinkle with parsley or cheese if desired. Serve immediately while hot.

Flavor Variations

Spicy: Add chili powder or toss with hot sauce

Buffalo Style: Coat with buffalo sauce after cooking and serve with ranch

Curry Flavor: Swap paprika for curry powder

BBQ: Toss with BBQ seasoning or sauce for a smoky taste

Tips & Tricks

Cut florets evenly so they cook at the same rate

Use just enough oil to coat, not soak

Avoid overcrowding the basket for better crispiness

Cook in batches if needed

Use leftovers in wraps, salads, or bowls

Notes

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days

Reheat in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 3–4 minutes to bring back crispiness

Great for meal prep and low-carb diets
